The Lenzu’s estate overlooks the beautiful Panel di Zucchero rock and the Leone’s gulf. Surrounded by important and historical monuments, it extends for about 15 hectares in the countryside of Bacu Abis, a mining fraction of the municipality of Carbonia, located in the heart of Sulcis Iglesiente.
The property has soils deriving from sandstone marl and marl limestone from Miocene with relative colluvial deposits, at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level.
This mild pedoclimatic condition and a good exposure of the vineyards to salty winds represents an excellent for grapevines. The old vineyards, over half a century, host the most important traditional vine varieties of Sardinia: Carignano del Sulcis, Monica di Sardegna and Vermentino.
